Technical Description This technique focuses on enhancement of the survival rategrowth potential of micropropagated strawberry during acclimatization by introducing endophytes. Several methods have been tried to introduce endophytes into micropropagated strawberry for production of high-qualitypathogen-free plants. Furthermore, this technique can also be used to produce plants tolerant to bioticabiotic
Scientific Breakthrough Biopesticidesbiofertilizers are two major means to apply microorganisms in crop production. However, due to difficulty in fermentation, short shelf-lifeeasily affected by field conditions, it is not easy to develop a microorganism into a product. This technique can provide similar effectsmicroorganisms other than spore-forming species can also be considered.
Industrial Applicability The indigenous endophyte resources with ability to enhance strawberry tolerance to bioticabiotic stresses were selected, used for acclimatization of micropropagated strawberry to accelerate acclimatization procedures produce disease-free seedlings, which can be an alternative method to reduce the problem caused by latent infection of strawberry anthracnose.
