Summary
On this instrument, high power near infrared laser is used as light source; Diffraction Optical Element (DOE) is used to build a large area even light source; optical lenses are used to filter the intensive reflected signals of the incident light to separate the weak light emitting signals of the samples.

Industrial Applicability
This technique is applied to inspect each step of the manufacturing process of silicon solar cells to find the major factors affecting the efficiency of solar cells. After its optical system is adjusted, this instrument can also be applied to other kinds of solar cells.
