Our team develop intelligent aquaculture system to foster lab-grown coral with faster growth rate and low death rate. By doing so, we can provide “sustainable” and “high-quality” coral bioactive ingredients to make something good for human health. Simultaneously, we also use next generation techniques to isolate coral bioactive ingredients and formulate new cosmetic ingredient “Laboral XB2”. It can strengthen skin barrier and sooth very reactive skin (redness, itching, dry and skin prone to atopic eczema). Focusing on the skin health, we establish “Coral Calm” series skin care products which are suitable for soothing skin disorders.

1.Our coral aquaculture techniques are derived from National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium, and we combine our 20 years experiences into intelligent aquaculture system. We can foster lab-grown coral with faster growth rate and low death rate by this system.
2.We found novel coral bioactive ingredient from the lab-grown coral. This ingredient has excellent anti-inflammatory effect, improves diabetic wound healing and alleviates atopic dermatitis.
3.Sea whip extract is the only coral cosmetic ingredients in the market. However, sea whip extract is collected from ocean which should be concerned the damage of environment and its quality. We develop cosmetic ingredient (Laboral XB2) from Taiwan soft coral by aquaculture, and this technique is the pioneer in the world.
4.We successfully develop “Coral Calm” series healthy skin care products which are suitable for soothing skin disorders such as redness, itching, dry and skin prone to atopic eczema. The Coral Calm-Skin Coral Ultra Soothing Moisturiser is certificated as Five-star seal by famous Dermatest GmbH in Germany and the Five-star seal represents greatest possible safety and excludes subsequent skin reactions by clinically testing.
5.Skin Coral Ultra Soothing Moisturiser can improve skin moisture by 110.50 %, decrease trans-epidermal water loss by 37.60 % and alleviate erythema, lichenification, dryness and desquamation of atopic prone skin. These effects are better than conpetitive product in the market.
Taiwan＇s marine natural product research is among the top. However, many marine natural products have complex structure and they are difficult to synthesize. Therefore, it is very difficult to develop commodity or drug discovery by marine natural products. Based on the experiences of National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium and intelligent aquaculture system, we can do innovation and develop something good for human health such as skin care products, dietary supplements and medicines from the bioactive marine compounds by aquaculture.
