Summary
The technologies include integration of the island microgrid system, ancillary control technology of the ESS, utilizing smart inverter to stabilize voltage, feeder voltage control, scheduling and on-line dispatch of generation units, paralleling and dis-paralleling among island microgrids, system impact analysis, as well as emergency operation system configuration design of electricity grid.
Scientific Breakthrough
Appling the power on-line dispatch and control of generation units to Dongji islet. The maximum penetration of PV generation reached 92.8%, while the power system remained stable operation. The PV generation monitoring system was installed at Tashan Power Plant in Kinmen. The 24-hour power generation forecast program was developed in the monitoring system. The prediction was tested with an accuracy of 92.08%.
Industrial Applicability
The developed microgrid technologies have been applied to Dongji islet and Kinmen to improve the impact of renewable energy on the power grid and increase the penetration of the renewable energy in island. Cooperating with the government's Southern Policy, the technologies can apply to islands in Southeast Asia to expand international diplomacy and promote economic and trade development。
