Summary
This system combines cutting-edge technologies, including wearable device, bluetooth, artificial intelligent emotion recognition, genetic algorithm, and smartphone, to combine with guided breathing biofeedback training program intending to construct a high performance real-time emotion recognition and biofeedback training system for personal mental health management and self-biofeedback training.
Scientific Breakthrough
This system effectively applies artificial intelligence in developing an emotional state identification algorithm based on PPG. Higher than 90% recognition rate can be achieved. This algorithm is transferred onto a smartphone and combined with a guided breathing training program to construct a real-time biofeedback training system with intelligent emotional state identification.
Industrial Applicability
This system provides an effective emotional state identification algorithm to combine with a guided breathing biofeedback training program intending to reverse negative emotions. This device uses animation or voice to guide the user to breathe slowly and displays his/her heart rate, breathing curve, and emotional state on the screen to provide biofeedback for personal emotional management.
