Summary
CAN(Controller Area Network) Bus was proposed by Bosch in 1985. Based on this in-vehicle communication protocol, the wiring harness can be simplified and the total weight of a vehicle can be reduced. Further this protocol provides an important role on the OBDII (On-Board Diagnosis) which is a vehicle diagnosis regulation required by EPA/SAE.
The product—CAN Bus OBDII Bridge can ease the design for equipments related to monitor for fuel economics, or emission. Since the information around engine can be acquired through OBDII/CAN, the intelligent in-vehicle infotainment such HUD (Head Up Display) and multi-media display can be customized.
Furthermore, with our OBDII bridge, the following applications can be developed easily:

*Fleet management
*Vehicle to Vehicle (V2V) communication

Scientific Breakthrough
Based on the OBDII dongle we developed, the emission status of a vehicle can be monitored in real time with a predefined query procedure. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) stored insides a vehicle can be used for further maintenance.
