Summary
There are 7 functions available for the VERAKEY platform: To-do task, Sending and receiving record, Documentation management, Scheduling, Jobsite construction report, Jobsite diary, and Quality management. Function 1 has users noticed, traced, shared, and reported. A friendly interface can guide users to finish assignments systematically. Function 2 is an automatic system that allows users to create, reply, forward, and file documents. Function 3 can automatically trace and recognize texts on documents according to users’ settings and association rules. Function 4 involves five major sub-functions to conduct scheduling management. Function 5 is designed for construction activities calculating labor quantities and productivities. Function 6 automatically saves activities performed in the jobsite using the proposed methods and material import/export. Function 7 has five sub-functions that allow users can precisely carry out quality control.
Scientific Breakthrough
The study is to answer the demands to establish an interaction platform to integrate necessary modules for construction projects. The second-phase interaction platform uses big data and data mining techniques to connect all contract parties together for deep-insight management. The final phase creates interaction platform using DNN, cloud computing, natural language processing technology ,and IoT.
Industrial Applicability
The VERAKEY is constructed based on IoT, AI mobile device, and cloud computation integrated with over 20-year experience in Taiwan construction industry. The design concept is similar to a central kitchen that handles all details and yields intelligent outputs. The VERAKEY has been employed in 6 construction related companies with the total signed contract amount of over NTD 30 million up to now since 2016.
