1. Pump control folding machine uses a coupled adaptive self-organizing sliding mode fuzzy controller, which is better than the traditional valve-controlled folding machine using a proportional controller.
2. The valve control system has an optimum energy efficiency of only about 37%, and the pump control system has an optimum energy efficiency of 90% and its noise is lower.
3. The response of the pump-controlled folding machine is approximately 90% of the valve control folding machine.
Scientific Breakthrough
1.Electro-hydraulic servo control systems can be classified as valve-controlled and pump- controlled systems. The valve-controlled system has fast response. But, its noise level is high and energy efficiency is low. In the contrast, the pump-controlled system has low noise level and high energy efficiency. Nevertheless, its response is sluggish.
2.The valve-controlled system has an optimal energy efficiency of only about 37%, and the best energy efficiency of the pump-controlled system can reach 90%. Therefore, the pump-controlled folding machine saves a lot of energy compared with valve-controlled folding machine. The results of the invention will help the domestic industry save energy. In the 21st century, the energy issue is an important issue in economic development. Therefore, the research and development achievements of the pump-controlled folding machine can be promoted from domestic to abroad.
3.The response of pump-controlled folding machine is about 90% of that of valve-controlled machine, and it is quite close to valve-controlled folding machine in response.

The design and development technology of the pump-controlled folding machine can be extended to other machine tools, and even can be extended to all electro-hydraulic servo controlled machines.
