Summary
We developed electric field preservation technology combined non-destructive monitoring module based on dielectric parameters and use of active packaging to solve the low efficiency of single preservation method. Through influencing enzyme activity and package headspace control, the quality of agricultural products maintained and extends the shelf life of products quality and freshness
Scientific Breakthrough
Today's preservative technology is an independent technology, and there are few systematic processing technologies. This technology combines electric field pretreatment, non-destructive detection and active packaging to extend shelf life of agricultural products about 1.43-2 times shelf life. Applying this technology to industry can reduce the waste about 5% and creating 190 million in revenue.
Industrial Applicability
This technology only needs to control electric field strength, time and parameters. Dielectric parameters are non-destructive testing and active packaging can keep fruits and vegetables fresh. This technology is not affected by the shape and size of product and has no chemical residue doubts. The application properties are flexible and can adapt to the industrial needs.
