Technical Name Calibration techniques to improve the signal quality of wideband RF signal
Project Operator Yuan Ze University
Project Host 鄧俊宏
Summary
This techniques aim to the wideband RF imperfection problems, including the frequency independent, dependent imbalances, and DC offset. We will explore the useful wideband impairment parameters estimation, compensation, and calibration procedures. The schemes use the real parallel TX/RX structure model to represent both the TX/RX impairments and compensators. Finally, the proposed techniques are confirmed to overcome the wideband RF imperfections and improve communication equality.
Scientific Breakthrough
The technology of the invention can overcome the 5G wideband RF imperfects to achieve high quality communication. However, the technology has been verified the performance of the AD9371 wide-band chip and the 5G wideband chip of ITRI is improved. In the future, the technology and patents can help 5G RF chip manufacturers to improve the quality of 5G products.
Industrial Applicability
Our research is designed for 5G WB RF communication with Impairments to be calibrated and compensated. The research achievements are the kernel techniques to improve the WB RF chip performance of 5G system. Moreover, the proposed techniques can improve the AD9371 RF chipset performance and enhance the 5G WB RF chip of ITRI. In the future, the proposed techniques can help 5G communication companies, e.g., small cell, to be excellent in the world.
