Technical Name Robot orchestra
Project Operator Chung Yuan Christian University
Project Host 黃信行
Summary
This robotic orchestra is unique in our country. It uses a local network to connect multiple robots, each playing the violin, viola and cello. It belongs to the Chamber Orchestra and can play many songs. The present invention is a combination of automation technology and human art. Due to the high technical barriers, there is no other competitor in the world. In the future, this R&D team will continue to improve and promote this work and promote this Taiwan’s technology to the world.
Scientific Breakthrough
The violin robot uses a servo linear module to control the swinging mechanism, and a step motor to rotate the body to change the strings. The technology uses an array of pneumatic cylinders to control the pitch and the timbre separately. The technology also introduces a 6-axes robot that allows the robot to play the cello. This technology has successfully controlled all robots and become a robotic orchestra.
Industrial Applicability
This work is especially suitable for attracting customers from exhibitions, restaurants, department stores and stores. It can be used as a performer in various places and is a very attractive service robot. Robots can also be used to make special timbre changes that simulate human’s performance, helping human as a tool for improving performance.
