Summary
The PV Circulator is a fully automatic solar panel recycling solution with AI and ML technologies – achieving a 100% recycling rate, 99% carbon reduction and 95% energy savings. Utilizing vision AI to identify and measure solar panels, it employs a physical dismantling system to disassemble all materials while maintaining by-product quantity and quality. It also functions as an IoT device, automatically uploading all records to Web3 and generating immutable and transparent recycling records.

Designed for combat size, this innovative solution conveniently fits within a 40’ container, introducing a new hardware-as-a-service concept for on-site processing. With a robust capacity of processing 1 panel per minute, its fully automated design facilitates 24/7 operation with minimal labor requirements. Importantly, the system yields almost no pollution, emitting only minimal carbon emissions of 5kWh per panel in terms of electricity consumption.
Industrial Applicability
The idea originated from the results of Prof. Yao-Hsiung Fu’s team, further developed by TSGC into the practical PV Circulator. TSGC also collaborates with refineries, manufacturers, and reference designers in Taiwan to pioneer novel applications for materials extracted from solar panels. A significant breakthrough includes transforming EVA into a new composite plastic for shoe soles-a world-first achievement. Numerous ongoing R&D projects continue to expand our endeavors.
