Summary
This project develops a multi-energy conversion system for industrial energy conservationhigh-value waste re-utilization. An advanced circulation fluidized bed gasification system600 kWth residual heat steam generation were establishedintegrate with the biomass pretreatment, gas purification,a kW scale supercritical power cycle system to demonstrate consolidated technologies ready for industrial applications.
Scientific Breakthrough
This technology combines gasificationpower generation systems, roastinggasification technologies, syngas purification, supercritical power cycle generation systems,syngas/combustion exhaust for biofuelchemical conversion to transform agricultural wastes into clean, high-efficiency,high-purity renewable energy. Among them, the 600 kW advanced circulating fluidized bed is the firstthe only set of equipment present in Taiwan,the scale of operation has reached the level of industrialization.
Industrial Applicability
This core technology was using a 600 kWth dual-circulating fluidized bed gasifier as the main equipment to re-utilize agricultural wastes. The resulting gasified syngas can be used to produce heatelectricity,can also be converted into biofuelchemicals.  This platform will be used to characterize various gasification reactions, which can help the development of gasification technologyindustrial applications. In addition, the supercritical power cycle generation system will be widely integrated with renewable energy, such as geothermalsolar thermal energy.
