Summary
This rapid test is a monoclonal antibody-based technique, referring to the migration of antigen-antibody complexes through a filter matrix such as nitrocellulose strips. The gold nanoparticles-conjugated antibodies bind to the viral antigen, and the complexes are then immobilized in the support matrix by detecting antibodies bound to the matrix. Test results
can be observed with naked eyes.
Scientific Breakthrough
1. 單一試片操作簡便、能在雞隻飼養現場10 分鐘內完成冠狀病毒之檢測、不需將樣本後送實驗室。
2. 運用低成本之硝基纖維紙作為介質,加上高專一性之單株抗體能快速、敏感地偵測病毒並以奈米金顯色,不需借助儀器、肉眼即可判讀結果。
3. 此試片可廣泛性偵測多種病毒之血清型,不受病毒之突變影響。
Industrial Applicability
This rapid test for the avian coronavirus allows highly specific antigen detection across multiple serotypes that circulate in the poultry farms worldwide. This detection can be completed on-farm within 10 minutes and does not need advanced equipment or personnel.
This test is beneficial in all types of commercial chicken farms to promote the disease surveillance and control.
