The paper realizes multifunction traffic lights with colorful LED array. The hardware construction includes main module and secondary module, becoming a system. The lights planning, every module contains two screens. one is pattern, another one is read-second number. The main module primarily shows the lights of the crossing, and delivers the messages to secondary module at the same time. Secondary module receives the messages from the main module, and shows the lights correctly on the crossing. There are coordinated by the two modules at the same time, and let traffic safe on the crossing. Those modules are combined with Arduino, RGB control board、colorful LED array、wireless communication circuit. The traffic light has patterns to help color blind to understand traffic condition. The traffic light can conform some functions and have merits which can integrate orderless traffic lights. It can help vehicle and pedestrian to understand traffic condition; protect smooth traffic and safety. The paper can provide to refer the design of the traffic lights .

B. 燈號設計
本文所設計之號誌燈系統由主機模組及從機模組兩個模組組成。每個模組都有兩個燈號，一個顯示圖案號誌，一個為讀秒數字。主機模組除了能顯示出號誌燈及讀秒外，還能傳送訊息給從機模組。從機模組接收訊號後可以顯示相對應的號誌燈。
由於紅綠燈並非單獨存在，必須與交會的路口燈號作協調。因此本文將實現一組具有協調的燈號作為目標。以東西向燈號作為主機。南北向燈號作為從機。如圖1所示。主機模組除了顯示該路口的燈號外，並傳達同步命令。從機模組接收同步命令，並顯示該路口的燈號。使兩個模組的時間達到協調。
B.1圖案號誌
第一燈號為圖案號誌。具有下列特色。
(a).利用全彩LED在一燈之中變換綠、黃、紅色，作為燈色變換。
(b).色盲人口佔台灣人口的8%。考慮色盲人士對燈色的辨識障礙。分別再以○△X代表綠燈、黃燈及紅燈。有助於色盲人士的燈號之確認。
(c).綠燈之中○代表全線通行，←↑→分別代表只准左、前、右通行，亦可在一個燈號上實現。
B.2數字讀秒
第二燈號為倒數讀秒，在綠黃紅燈的階段都具有讀秒的功能。具有下列特色。
(a).在綠燈倒數讀秒，可以讓遠處的車輛判斷是否有足夠的時間通過路口，或者應該逐漸減速，有助於節省能源浪費。
(b).在黃燈倒數讀秒，可提供路口的車輛判斷是否可以通過路口，或者直接停止，等待下一個綠燈，有助於減少搶黃燈引起車禍的發生。
(c).紅燈的讀秒可提供到駕駛人底還要忍受多少等待時間，有助於減少交通時間的焦慮感。

本系統因為控制電路的方便性，可以依據需求設計出在不同環境下所需要的燈號。只需要根據此環境能更改所需的圖案號誌及讀秒部分。
本文之號誌燈使用控制電路程式方便撰寫，要改變數字讀秒，顯示圖案容易，且實體重量輕，體積小，攜帶方便，機動性高。將來可以因應環境，除了十字路口之外，還能用在很多地方。
