Fastbooting technology can applied in various smart devices, particularly in cell phones, automotive electronics, set-up boxes and smart TV. The products embedded Android system takes too much time for users to boot, but with the fastBooting technology, developed by the professor Lo, Shi-wu of National Chung Cneng University, it reduces the time within 4 seconds to boot. Besides, it doesn’t bother the shutdown.
　　Fastbooting technology has patented in Taiwan, U.S.A., Korea, and China has been under way. Besides, the derivation of fastBooting technology, Method for Fastbooting/Shutting down a Computing System by Clustering, has been patented in Taiwan, U.S.A., and Japan.
　　Fastbooting technology mainly docuses on reducing the size of hibernation file to shorten the booting time. The biggest advantage is that you don’t have to revise the framework of Android but to correct the Linux Kernel. That is the reason why we can reduce the booting time to 4 seconds. Several well-known corporates have similar patents, but ONLY we, National Chung Cneng University, have patented by U.S.A.
