Summary
Compared with traditional Symmetric-key algorithms, such as Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), the Lightweight Block Ciphers have lower resource consumption and higher hardware performance.Therefore, this technology is aimed at this level, so that future IoT devices can obtain reference designs and have safety applications.
Scientific Breakthrough
PRESENT演算法2007年被提出,基於2001年AES徵選第二名Serpent所改進,其目標就是為了IoT裝置應用;該演算法所需硬體資源少、在FPGA, ASIC等裝置執行效率較現行AES更高;因此利用旁通道分析此演算法,並技巧性的設計其防護方式。

可提供研究成果於 IoT 裝置廠商,加強裝置溝通的安全性。對於會記錄敏感性資料的 IoT 裝置,可確保有足夠強度的安全防護,有利於 IoT 整體產業發展。
