Taxi
  • Taxis are the most convenient way for visitors in Taipei. Most Taipei taxi drivers know the different landmarks of Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) by name, so you can give instructions such as "Take me to Taipei World Trade Center " to get to your desired destination. We kindly suggest visitors to always have the destination written down in Chinese e.g. 台北世界貿易中心一館 (means Taipei World Trade Center), or show the map guide and indicate your destination to the driver.
  • Most yellow taxis can be flagged down along main streets. Taxi meters start at NT$70 for the first 1.25 km and NT$5 for each additional 200 meters. Between 11 pm to 6 am, passengers must pay an additional NT$20 surcharge above the meter fare for each trip due to a fare hike. Receipts are available upon request.
