Artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming healthcare, sports, fashion, and agriculture. From September 17–19 at Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1, the 2026 Future Tech Pavilion will showcase Taiwan’s latest research through interactive experiences that demonstrate how AI is solving real-world challenges.

Smart Mirror for Health and Fall-Risk Assessment

Developed by National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology, the iMirror uses a single camera and edge AI to analyze movement without wearable sensors.

Visitors can walk or stretch in front of the mirror and receive real-time assessments of gait stability and physical fitness. The technology can support rehabilitation while helping communities and households identify risks related to frailty, muscle loss, and falls.

AI-Powered Baseball Highlight Search

A team from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology has developed a multimodal AI system that automatically identifies key baseball events such as home runs and strikeouts.

The system combines speech recognition with video analysis and can even recognize players’ nicknames. Visitors can request a specific highlight by voice and watch the AI retrieve the corresponding clip within seconds.

Generative AI Virtual Fitting

Shih Chien University will present an integrated generative AI fashion design and virtual fitting system.

By standing in front of a screen, visitors can instantly preview personalized outfits through human-body recognition and real-time image generation. The system offers new possibilities for fashion design, product development, smart retail, and personalized shopping.

AI for Precision Livestock Farming

National Yunlin University of Science and Technology has developed an AI-powered system that uses deep learning and image analysis to estimate the lean-meat percentage of live pigs.

With an R² value of 0.78, the technology supports precision feeding and objective meat grading while connecting data from farms, processing facilities, and retailers. It demonstrates how AI can improve livestock management, product quality, and food traceability.

Pre-Event Matchmaking for Industry Collaboration

In addition to interactive exhibits, the 2026 Future Tech Pavilion offers guided tours and business matchmaking services. Companies, startups, and investors can arrange one-on-one meetings with research teams to explore technology licensing, joint development, field validation, and other partnership opportunities.
