• 2026 Future Tech Pavilion Launches Industry Matchmaking—The Next Unicorn Could Start Here

2026 -08 -12

To accelerate the commercialization of cutting-edge research, the 2026 Future Tech Pavilion will take place from September 17 to 19 at Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1, accompanied by dedicated industry matchmaking services.

In addition to technology presentations and business matchmaking sessions, companies may submit their technical needs and preferred forms of collaboration. The organizing team will identify suitable technologies and research teams, then arrange meetings during the exhibition to facilitate validation, adoption, and commercialization.

84 Award-Winning Technologies with Market Potential

Selected from over 500 research innovations, the 84 winners of the 2026 Future Tech Award demonstrate strong potential to advance Taiwan’s industries and improve quality of life.

Several technologies strengthen key semiconductor and AI hardware capabilities:

  • Passive Helical Liquid–Gas Separation Cooling Technology Across Gravity Conditions uses an innovative bubble-release mechanism for two-phase immersion cooling in high-power AI chips and data centers, significantly improving cooling efficiency and reducing energy consumption.
  • Sub-Terahertz High-Speed Imaging Inspection Technology integrates a compact radar system into a 1.5 kg handheld probe, enabling non-contact, radiation-free subsurface inspection at 13 times the efficiency of conventional methods. Field collaboration with the aviation industry is already underway.
  • Quantum Sensing with Fluorescent Nanodiamonds for Advanced Semiconductors delivers nanoscale positioning accuracy for semiconductor inspection, offering a major breakthrough in failure analysis.

Trusted AI for Real-World Applications

Taiwan’s AI development now extends beyond model innovation to trusted AI, industrial applications, and hardware–software integration. This year’s selected technologies therefore emphasize clear use cases and deployment potential.

  • LLM-Powered Lightweight AI Intrusion Prevention for Industrial IoT applies large language models to industrial control packet analysis, achieving 0.99 detection accuracy. Its hardware-integrated solution also helps equipment manufacturers comply with international cybersecurity standards.
  • PanMETAI: An AI and ¹H NMR Metabolomics Platform for Early Pancreatic Cancer Detection achieves an AUC of 0.95 in detecting difficult-to-identify stage I and II pancreatic cancer and has passed multinational blinded clinical validation.
  • DeepBT A+ AI-Assisted Brain Tumor MRI Interpretation System integrates multi-task lesion analysis and report generation into clinical workflows. Tested in over 2,500 clinical cases, it has reduced report turnaround time by 58% and is progressing toward patents and regulatory approvals in multiple countries.
  • AI Wearable System for Sports Injury Risk Assessment and Movement Feedback transforms laboratory-based biomechanical analysis into a portable, real-time AI solution with strong technical maturity and commercial potential.

Turning Research into Business Opportunities

Through exhibitions and targeted matchmaking, the Future Tech Pavilion enables companies to engage directly with research teams on application needs, collaboration terms, and implementation pathways.

Businesses seeking technology upgrades, product development, or cross-sector collaboration may explore options including industry–academia partnerships, patent licensing, technology transfer, joint R&D, proof-of-concept validation, adoption assessment, and government-supported projects.
