2026 Future Tech Pavilion Opens in September—Connecting Research and Industry to Accelerate AI, Semiconductor, and Space Innovation

As AI, semiconductors, net-zero technologies, and the space industry advance rapidly, businesses need faster access to promising technologies and the right research partners.
Co-organized by the National Science and Technology Council, Academia Sinica, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health and Welfare, and the Ministry of Sports, the 2026 Future Tech Pavilion will take place from September 17 to 19 at the Taiwan Innotech Expo in Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1.
Bringing together innovations from Taiwan’s universities, research institutes, and government programs, the pavilion serves as a major platform connecting scientific research with industry needs. In addition to technology showcases, it will offer business matchmaking, technical exchanges, and cross-sector collaboration opportunities for joint R&D, proof-of-concept validation, and technology licensing.
AI, Semiconductors, and Smart Healthcare
This year’s exhibition will highlight AI applications, semiconductors, precision health, space technology, disaster prevention, and net-zero solutions.
The National Applied Research Laboratories will present over 20 technologies spanning heterogeneous chip integration, AI infrastructure, smart healthcare, digital twins, disaster resilience, and marine technology.
Semiconductor highlights include an advanced chip-level heterogeneous integration platform, 8-inch GaN epitaxy, a 3DIC process platform, and low-power EEG analysis chips—demonstrating Taiwan’s R&D capabilities in AI computing and next-generation semiconductors.
Smart healthcare innovations will include organ-on-a-chip technology, an AI-powered pathology platform, and intelligent animal care solutions that combine AI analytics with high-performance computing.
Synchrotron Technology for Energy and Precision Medicine
The National Synchrotron Radiation Research Center will demonstrate how high-brightness X-rays reveal microscopic structures in materials and living organisms, accelerating innovation in energy materials, advanced manufacturing, and precision medicine.
Featured technologies include real-time X-ray observation of structural changes in lithium batteries during charging and discharging, supporting the development of safer, longer-lasting energy storage systems. Advanced cryogenic magnets and X-ray optics will also enable higher-energy, higher-resolution research in semiconductors, advanced materials, and life sciences.
In precision medicine, synchrotron technologies will support protein structure analysis, 3D cellular imaging, disease diagnosis, and drug delivery research—connecting fundamental science with biomedical innovation and drug development.
FORMOSAT-8 Showcases Taiwan's Space Capabilities
The Taiwan Space Agency will present the first remote-sensing results from the FORMOSAT-8 program, together with key domestically developed technologies, including satellite models, propulsion subsystems, optical remote-sensing payloads, and image application platforms.
The exhibit will also highlight potential applications in environmental monitoring, agriculture, transportation, and land management, creating new opportunities for cross-sector collaboration.
Bringing AI into Disaster Prevention and Everyday Life
The National Science and Technology Center for Disaster Reduction will showcase AI applications for earthquake damage assessment, tsunami warnings, disaster information platforms, and intelligent weather services.
Through interactive demonstrations, visitors can experience how AI improves emergency response, public safety, and disaster preparedness—turning research into practical solutions for everyday life.
From Technology Showcase to Industry Collaboration
The Future Tech Pavilion aims to bridge the gap between research and industry, helping businesses discover technologies that can be tested, adopted, and brought to market.
Companies, startups, investors, and professionals are invited to visit the exhibition and participate in the pre-event matchmaking service. Based on each company’s industry, technology needs, and collaboration goals, the organizer will identify suitable innovations and arrange one-on-one meetings with research teams during the exhibition.
