2025 Future Tech Pavilion: Taiwan’s Innovations from Lab to Market
2025 -09 -10
Get ready for the ultimate showcase of tomorrow’s breakthroughs!2025 Future Tech Pavilion (FUTEX), co-hosted by National Science and Technology Council, Academia Sinica, Ministry of Education, and Ministry of Health and Welfare, is set to ignite innovation at Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1 from October 16-18. Under the electrifying theme “AI Cross-Disciplinary Applications and Innovative Breakthroughs,” this must-attend event will feature 4 immersive interactive zones: Smart Robotics, AI Applications and Industry-Academia Collaboration, Quantum Technology, and Sports Technology.
At its heart? The prestigious FutureTech Award, spotlighting Taiwan’s cutting-edge research and its real-world impact on global industries.
A Global Stage for Breakthroughs
This year’s FutureTech Award drew over 500 groundbreaking submissions, crowning 83 winners across high-impact fields like biomedical testing, advanced semiconductors, AI and edge computing, green energy and net-zero solutions, smart robotics, and humanities-driven tech. With nearly 200 academic and research exhibits on display, FUTEX isn’t just about ideas—it’s about transforming them into commercial powerhouses. Many winners are already in clinical trials, mass production, or licensed by tech giants, proving Taiwan’s role as a global innovation engine.
Key highlights include:
Biomedical & Testing: Innovations in this area focus on clinical needs and precision medicine, including new cancer-targeted therapies, smart diagnostics, minimally invasive robots, and advanced testing platforms. Some of these technologies are already being used in clinical settings, boosting medical efficiency and creating new opportunities in the medical device industry.
Semiconductors & Advanced Processes: Featured technologies address the needs of Taiwan’s industrial supply chain with advanced inspection methods, new memory architectures, and next-gen material simulation platforms. Some have already been validated in TSMC’s production processes and licensed to global leaders like Apple and Meta.
AI & Edge Computing: These projects underscore the power of cross-disciplinary integration, with applications ranging from smart manufacturing to drones and smart cities. They show how AI is a core driver of industrial upgrades and a catalyst for real-world deployment.
Green Energy & Net-Zero Solutions: Innovations in this sector, such as green hydrogen production, high-efficiency energy conversion, and carbon capture, directly support global decarbonization efforts and create opportunities for international collaboration.
Smart Robotics & Precision Machinery: Technologies in this category, including anomaly detection and automation, have been successfully implemented in medical, educational, and industrial settings to enhance production efficiency and create new service models.
These technologies aren’t just breakthroughs—they’re blueprints for emerging industries, fueling Taiwan’s competitive edge on the world stage.
Beyond the Exhibit Floor: Connecting and Collaborating
FUTEX is designed to facilitate connections between academia and industry. In addition to the main exhibit, the event will feature a range of interactive sessions, including forums, technical presentations, and matchmaking sessions. For the first time, 14 international startups will also be participating, fostering a dynamic dialogue between global partners and local innovators.
We invite media, industry professionals, and potential partners to join us at this premier event to witness Taiwan’s cutting-edge innovations firsthand and explore collaboration opportunities.
