Technology Introduction
無線光通訊是近年來新興的光通訊技術,兼具自由空間光信號傳輸功能,是世界上目前許多光通訊研發團隊所努力研究突破的亮點主題。無線光通訊傳輸系統可以用來取代RF無線通訊傳輸系統,不但可以減少及防止電磁波的干擾,且在許多禁止使用電磁波的場所(諸如醫院、飛機機艙、煉油廠……)可以彌補RF無線通訊的不便。「高傳輸速率」及「長距離自由空間傳輸」是無線光通訊系統所努力追求的目標,世界上每一個無線光通訊研發團隊都希望能在這兩個目標上有所革命性的突破。『下世代行動通訊-超高速400 G寬頻網路』具有400 Gb/s高頻寛、200 m傳輸距離、高保密性、低成本等優點,提供了一個免費、無需牌照的電磁波頻譜通訊管道、及無電磁波干擾等優勢,禰補微波無線通訊的不便,及無線頻寬不足等問題,且與傳統微波無線通訊一樣,具備無線傳輸之能力,能免除多而複雜的牽線等問題。藉由整合高速寬頻光纖網路與超高速無線光通訊技術,使高速傳輸速率能緊密綿延至光纖通訊網路最後一哩,以便提供雲端伺服器與last mile使用者高速寬頻且具有高速無線的網路服務,進而達到符合下世代高速傳輸相關技術之需求。

The optical wireless communication is a newly-developed optical communication technology in recent years. Being possible to transmit optical signals in free space, it is a hot topic for optical communication R&D teams around the globe to research and make breakthroughs. Using optical wireless communication systems to replace RF wireless communication and transmission systems can not only reduce and avoid the interference from electromagnetic waves, but also make up the inconvenience of using RF wireless communication in places where the electromagnetic wave is banned, such as hospitals, airplane cabins, oil refineries, etc. “High transmission rate” and “Long-distance free-space transmission” are the two goals on which every optical wireless communication R&D team around the world hopes to make revolutionary breakthroughs. “Next Generation - Ultra-High-Speed 400 G Broadband” comes with a bandwidth of 400 Gb/s, a transmission distance at 200 m, high confidentiality and low cost, providing an access to cost and license free electromagnetic communication. In addition, with no electromagnetic interference the inconvenience of using RF communication is eliminated, and the issue of insufficient wireless bandwidth is also thereby solved. Having the wireless communication ability similar to traditional radio wireless communication, the complicated cabling work is no longer an issue. By integrating the high-speed broad-band optical-fiber network with ultra-high-speed optical wireless communication technology, the high transmission rate accomplishes the last mile of optical communication network, via which cloud servers and end users can use high speed broad-band wireless network service, and thereby the further needs of next gen high-speed transmission related technologies can be satisfied.
