技術說明:聞出你的健康狀況
中國人相傳多年的中醫,其中即有望、聞、問、切四大項,其中「聞」是一個重要的診斷依據。本團隊所提出的方式,就是採用人工嗅覺的技術,也就是所謂的「電子鼻」來偵測並辨識,是一台簡易可重複「聞」疾病的裝置。關於「聞」的裝置,也就是氣體的感測,最標準的方式,就是將氣體收集採樣帶回實驗室以氣相層析質譜儀(GC-MS)或傅立葉轉換紅外線光譜儀(FT-IR)進行分析。這樣的處理方式,缺乏「即時性」以及「普遍性」。因此一個即時、可靠、快速並且微型的裝置或儀器,是非常重要的。「電子鼻」是一種可以即時偵測並判別氣味的機制,用多個感測器組合成一個陣列,這個陣列中的感測器共同對某種氣味進行氣味的辨識與感測的工作,而每一種不同的組合代表感測一種不同的氣味。

Smelt your health
In Chinese medicine, there are four major methods for diagnosis: observation, auscultation and olfaction, interrogation and pulse feeling and palpation. "Sniffing" is an important method for diagnosis. We developed an artificial olfactory technique, also called "electronic noses" to detect and identify disease. The electronic nose is a simple and repeatable "sniffing" device. In tradition, the instruments (such as gas chromatography (GC-MS), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy) are applied to analysis gas. We have to take the gas sample back to lab. To operate these instruments lacks "immediateness" and "universality." Therefore, immediate, reliable, fast and small device is very important. Our “Electronic nose” is a real-time odor detection and identification system, which consisted of several sensors into an array of sensors. When the odor flow in, each of the odors generate a specific odor pattern such as finger printer.
